Tour of Lawrence - 2009

Thanks to Eric and his whole crew for bringing racing to downtown Lawrence and the KU campus!

I was a bit mentally run down the week leading up to the race(s) this week. Having come off an extremely successful weekend overseeing the Breakthrough tour and racing all 3 days, my level of enthusiasm was a bit flat. I still wanted to ride. I still wanted race. I just didn't exhibit a bunch of energy about it.

The crit course was same one that has been used in the past for the NCAA collegiate cycling championships when they were held here a few years ago. It is a fun, fast figure 8 style course that has just enough false flats to attack on and mix in the head wind on those sections, it was fun. I enjoy just about any type of crit course but really enjoy the figure 8 styles.
